Drug & Alcohol Policy
All students attending Stand for Youth's From School to Life programming will be educated in learning environments that are safe, secure, crime-free, drug-free, and conducive to learning.
The Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR 13.A.05.05.01) requires that each public school has a coordinated program of pupil services for all students.
The Foundation accomplishes this by promoting healthy trauma-informed youth development environments. Evidenced-Based Life Skills Training (eg: Ansell Casey, Botvin, PBIS), and prevention and intervention strategies that are implemented to address drug abuse, violence, bullying, and other unwarranted behaviors outlined in the Student Code of Conduct that address the needs of the "whole" youth with wellness at the core.
We hire expereinced, degreed, licensed or certified, mentally agile academic, life skills and workforce development professionals who are experienced and that like working with at-risk youth in urban settings.
We work diligently to foster collaborative relationships with institutions, agencies and community stakeholders to bring the full gamut of resources necessary for youth served.
